About the Conference

Human well-being is inextricably linked to the natural world by use of Natural Resources such as soil, water, forest etc. Radical changes in land use and natural resource governance over the past century have resulted in rapid degradation of our native ecosystems, biodiversity, alienating changes in human relationships to the land and sea. The time has come to conserve natural resources and biodiversity for sustainable development by comprehensive plan designed for the benefit of the entire world.

We have to conserve these resources for permanent prosperity of our country i.e. sustainable development. The Western Ghats or the Sahyadri constitute a mountain range along the western side of India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the eight "hottest hotspots" of biological diversity in the world. It is sometimes called the Great Escarpment of India. Our ASP college is situated in this eco sensitive area. So it is must to aware people about conservation of biodiversity in same area and all over country. Preserving global biodiversity is a priority in strategic conservation plans that are designed to engage public policy and concerns affecting local, regional and global scales of communities, ecosystems, and cultures.
